Custom End Tables
I was asked if I could bring new life to end tables. They were in pretty bad shape; one had a crack that needed repairing, they both had marks and stains…and some weird white stuff from sitting in a junk pile for a while.
The customer wanted them to be black and modernish. We glued the crack, left the clamp on overnight and then I sanded the tops of both of the end tables.
I used Annie Sloan™ chalk paint in Graphite and the dark wax to bring more black to the tables. As usual, I forgot to take pictures of the process, but I did remember to get before & afters.
Nothing fancy, but they love them and that’s all that counts. They sure look a lot better! I’d love to see them in their new home…I’ll have to ask for a picture.
Happy New Year!
Off topic, but since I haven’t posted in quite a while, due to the hectic schedule over the Christmas season, I want to say Happy New Year and I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season!
We had a great couple of weeks, we travelled a lot visiting family and friends. And my family gave me a new sewing machine for Christmas!! Oh, I can’t wait to get working with it. It comes with a disc, I guess I have to connect it to the computer somehow…I really need to get reading the manual more.
Stay safe and warm during these winter storms, we sure are getting a winter blast…over and over and over again…
In the meantime, I’m off to do some reading and thread a machine to practice on!
